Senior: As a senior, Fecteau contributed a number of top performances for the Cardinals. At the ACC Championships, he scored 62 points to help the Louisville men to a second place team finish. Fecteau’s top performance came on the 3-meter, where he finished eighth with a 294.75. He also scored points with a ninth place finishes on 1-meter with a 286.05 and platform with a 286.05. At the IU Invitational, he added a number of top finishes, highlighted by a second place showing on the platform with a score of 321.70. He also finished third on both the 1-meter and 3-meter. Fecteau’s dual meet season was highlighted by a second place finish on 1-meter and third place finish on 3-meter in the Cards’ win over Tennessee, allowing him to earn ACC Diver of the Week honors. For his efforts in the classroom, Fecteau earned a spot on the All-ACC Academic Team.
Junior: Fecteau was a key contributor for the Cardinals as a junior. For the second consecutive year, he qualified for a final at the ACC Championships, placing eighth overall on platform with a score of 296.25 and accumulating 22 points for Louisville. At the Miami Invitational, he finished third on the 1-meter with a personal-best and NCAA Zone cut score of 349.60. He also finished fourth on platform with a school record and NCAA Zone cut score of 350.70. Against Virginia, Fecteau won both the 1-meter (311.15) and 3-meter (361.85), while also recording a victory on the 1-meter against Notre Dame (324.00). For his performances both academically and athletically, Fecteau earned a spot on the All-ACC Academic Team.
Sophomore: Fecteau continued to be a valuable asset to the Cardinals’ squad, scoring 24 points at the ACC Championship by placing sixth in the 1-meter (319.35). At ACCs, he also finished 10th in the platform and 29th in the 3-meter. Fecteau scored 60 points at the UofL Invitational, winning the platform (320.90) and taking second in the 1-meter (311.15). Other notable moments from the dual season include a first place in the 1-meter (333.83) and a second in the 3-meter (341.93) against Notre Dame.
Freshman: Fecteau made a splash in his first year with the Cardinal diving squad. At NCAA Zones, he was 16th in the 3-meter final (619.95) and 14th in the platform finals with a score of 545.85. At ACCs, he was 22nd in the 1-meter with a 274.25, and 23rd in 3-meter with a 282.65 and 24th in platform (267.55). His highlights in the dual season include: on the one-meter board, a second place against North Carolina with a 343.05 and against Cincinnati and at the UofL Invitational as well. He won the 3-meter board at the UofL Invitational and was second versus Cincinnati. On the platform, he was second at the UofL Invitational as well as the Louisville Diving Open.
Prep: Daniel Fecteau joins the Cardinals from Olathe, Kansas. As a member of iDiveKC under Coach Christian Zarif, Fecteau took home Kansas High School State Championships in both 2013, 2014, 2015 on the 1m Springboard. He was an Eastern Kansas League Champion in 2014 and 2015. He also qualified for Nationals at Regionals in Southlake, Texas. His best scores in the 1-meter springboard is 378.45 (6-dive) and 553.65 (11-dive). He was also a state qualifier in the pole vault.
