Downtown Construction to Affect Traffic Pattern for Sunday's Women’s Basketball Exhibition
November 04, 2016 | Women's Basketball
Fans are encouraged to allow for extra time in reaching the KFC Yum! Center on Sunday.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Fans traveling to the University of Louisville women's basketball team's exhibition against Lindsey Wilson on Sunday should allow for extra time to reach the KFC Yum! Center.
The city of Louisville will be closing part of Main Street, between Brook Street and 2nd Street, due to Whiskey Row construction. There will be signage for the road closings around Louisville Slugger Field, which will show alternate routes for fans. Although the street will be closed, the sidewalk on the south side will remain open.
It is recommended to look for alternative routes for the 2 p.m. game.
Suggested routes:
- Those driving on Interstate 64 West, use the 3rd Street exit onto River Road to avoid the Main Street traffic.
- Fans coming from I-65 can exit at Jefferson Street and go to 2nd Street to avoid traveling to Main Street between Brook Street and 2nd Street.
Other notes:
- Admission is free to Sunday's event.
- Parking passes for season ticket holders cannot be used until the Cardinals' home opener against Belmont on Nov. 13.
