STUDENT TICKETING
All students who pay the student athletics fee are Ville'ns and have access to all our ticketed sports (Football, Volleyball, Men's and Women's Basketball and Baseball).
Take a look at frequently asked questions using the dropdowns below.
Ticket & Lottery Process
Student ticket access includes:
- Football
- Men's Basketball
- Women's Basketball
- Volleyball (KFC Yum! Center matches)
- Baseball
All other home sports are not ticketed and are free for all to attend.
If student ticket requests exceed the available inventory, a lottery will determine who receives tickets.
The lottery will be weighted based on attendance, meaning students who attend more games will have a better chance in future lotteries.
If requests do not exceed inventory, all students who requested a ticket will receive one.
All eligible (full-time, in-person) students will receive an email on the day that the claim opens with the link(s) to request tickets. To complete the request process, follow the steps outlined below.
STEP 1: After clicking the link, log into your My Cardinals Account. Please use your @louisville.edu email to access your account.

STEP 2: Scroll to view all games available during the lottery.

STEP 3: Click the "+" button to request a ticket for the game. Repeat for each game you wish to request a ticket for.

STEP 4: Once you have selected each game you wish to request a ticket for, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Add to Cart".

STEP 5: Click the "Checkout" button at the bottom of the screen.

STEP 6: Review all of your ticket requests, then select the box at the bottom that reads "I accept the Terms and Conditions". After checking this box, click "Place Order".

STEP 7: Congrats! You have successfully entered the lottery. You will receive an email once the lottery closes regarding the status of your requests.

Stay tuned for claim dates for the 2026-27 season! All eligible students will receive email communication to their university email account.
If demand is lower than supply, you will be issued a ticket.
If demand exceeds inventory, a weighted lottery will be used.
Lottery weighting is based on attendance throughout the season (Football, Men's Basketball, and other key sports).
You'll receive an email with your lottery status the week of the event. If you're granted a ticket, you'll get an email with a link to choose your seat. If you don't select a seat, a seat will be assigned and your ticket automatically added to your account before gameday.
A ticket will not appear in your account immediately after submitting a request. Once the lottery closes, students granted a ticket will receive an email with a link to select their seat. If no selection is made, a seat will be assigned and the ticket will be automatically added to your account before gameday.
No. The lottery only applies to football and men's basketball. All other home ticketed sports (Volleyball, Women's Basketball, and Baseball) will follow a first-come, first-served claim process.
About the Student Ticket Model
Your student fee provides ticket access to home games for:
- Football
- Men's Basketball
- Women's Basketball
- Volleyball (KFC Yum! Center matches)
- Baseball
Additional benefits include:
- Access to enter postseason ticket lotteries
- Student Appreciation Games
- Discounted student parking at Football & Men's Basketball games
- Gameday giveaways
We are increasing the number of student tickets allocated for both football and men's basketball to meet higher demand.
However, to ensure fairness and equal access, a lottery system will be used when demand exceeds available inventory.
