This is the second time in the club’s history that it will host a women’s NCAA Regional
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville Golf Club and the University of Louisville has been selected as one of the six regional hosts for the upcoming 2026 Division I Women's Golf Championship. Arkansas, Auburn, Iowa State, Ole Miss, Houston, Virginia Tech, Kansas State, Indiana, College of Charleston, Xavier, Western Kentucky and Murray State are the 12 teams competing in the regional along with individuals from South Carolina, Belmont, Middle Tennessee State, Old Dominion and BYU. The regional will be held from Monday, May 11 to Wednesday, May 13 with tee times starting at 8 a.m. ET each day.
"We are incredibly honored to host the 2026 NCAA Women's Golf Regional at the University of Louisville Golf Club," said Associate Athletic Director for Capital Projects and Administration Zach Brooks. "This is an exciting opportunity to showcase our championship-caliber course and state-of-the-art facilities on a national stage. Our team takes great pride in providing an exceptional experience for student-athletes, coaches, and fans. We look forward to welcoming some of the best collegiate golfers in the country to Louisville and giving them a first-class experience both on and off the course as they compete for a spot in the NCAA Championship."
"I was fortunate enough to be the host PGA Professional for the 2021 NCAA Women's Golf Regional at the University of Louisville Golf Club, and I could not be more excited for the opportunity to host again in 2026," said PGA Head Golf Professional Chad Stocker. "I genuinely believe student athletes, coaches, and fans will be treated to an experience they will not forget. I wish the best of luck to all the teams vying for a spot to compete at ULGC and cannot wait to welcome the qualifiers to Louisville."
This is the second time the University of Louisville Golf Club has been selected as regional host for the Women's Golf Championship. ULGC was a regional host in 2021 and the Louisville women's golf team earned an NCAA berth that season to compete in the regional. ULGC has also been selected as a regional host for the Men's Golf Championship back in 2019 and the men's golf team was selected to play at that regional.
The University of Louisville is no stranger to hosting championship events over the past few seasons. Since the start of the 2023-24 athletics season, Louisville has hosted the 2024 NCAA Volleyball Championship, 2023 Men's College Cup, 2025 ACC Indoor Track Championship and 2024 NCAA Diving Zones. Louisville will host the 2025 ACC Field Hockey Championship and 2025 ACC Cross Country Championship later this fall and host the NCAA Field Hockey championship in the fall of 2026.
