LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The highly competitive field that boasts 15 nationally ranked teams for the NCAA Division I Pre-National Cross Country meet on Oct. 13, at E.P. `Tom' Sawyer State Park has been set.

A total of four races will be held on Saturday, with the men's red seeded race starting the day at 9:30 a.m. ET. The women's red seeded race is next at 10:15 a.m. Following that is a pair of unseeded races: the men's black race at 10:45 a.m. and the women's black race at 11:30 a.m.

The Cardinals' men's squad will take part in the first morning race, competing against schools such as No. 3-ranked BYU, No. 7 Colorado, No. 9 Tulsa, No. 14 Florida State and No. 15 Oregon. Last time out, Louisville finished sixth at the Greater Louisville Classic against a field that consisted of numerous ranked teams, including Iona, Texas and Arizona, which the Cardinals beat in the team results.

Louisville's women's squad is set to participate in the 11:30 a.m. race, facing runners from schools like Florida State, Florida, Georgetown and West Virginia.
