Katie George was named All Tournament at the European Global Challenge.

University of Louisville setter Katie George was named to the All-Tournament team as a member of the USA National Collegiate Team that won the silver medal at the European Global Challenge Tournament in Pula, Croatia.
George, an Assumption High School graduate, played both setter and libero for the USA team. She Named to the American Athletic Conference's First Team and led the UofL team with 966 assists (9.20/set) and aces with 30 and was ranked in the nation in assists/set.
UCLA Head Coach Mike Sealy served as the head coach of the team. He was assisted by Jenny Glenn, associate head coach at University of Northern Colorado, and Kyle Robinson, head coach at Long Island University.
The players made their first stop in Venice, Italy, followed by a four-day training camp in Maribor, Slovenia. The squad trained and had friendly scrimmages with Slovenia's national team and Under-20 national team, along with other countries' Under-20 national teams. The U.S. then proceeded to Pula, Croatia, to compete in the Global Challenge.
This program is considered a second tryout for the U.S. Women's National Volleyball Team.
U of L joined the ACC on July 1 and the volleyball season will open August 29 vs. Wisconsin in the first match of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge in Minneapolis.
