LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women’s track and field team will send two student-athletes to the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend.
The championships, held at the Randal Tyson Center in Fayetteville, Ark., run from Friday, March 8-9. The event will be streamed live by ESPN3.com Friday, beginning at 6:25 p.m. ET, and Saturday, beginning at 6:50 p.m. Early portions of the meet not covered by ESPN3 will be streamed at NCAA.com and ArkansasRazorbacks.com, beginning with the start of competition each day. Kinsella, who is undefeated in the event this season with five-straight victories, reached the indoor national championships last year, placing 11th to earn second team All-America honors.
Classmate Khadija Abdullah, who also won a title at the BIG EAST Championships, broke the school record in the shot put with a winning toss of 17.06m/55-11.75. The throw ranks ninth nationally and is the 38th-best mark internationally. Abdullah earned indoor All-America honors in 2011 after taking 20th in the shot put.
