LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Seven members of the University of Louisville track and field teams make a return trip to the state of Indiana for the Hoosier Hills Invitational on Feb. 8, in Bloomington.

The event will be held in the Gladstein Fieldhouse and begins at 5 p.m. on Friday. Live results will be available on www.IUHoosiers.com.

Louisville's participants solely consist of field-event athletes, with four in the jumps group and three in the throws group.

Beginning at 5 p.m., Kim Cardeiro is scheduled to compete in the women's long jump, and Jeron Brown is slated to take part in the men's long jump. Both have qualified for the BIG EAST Indoor Championships - held next weekend in Geneva, Ohio - in the long jump.

Two hours later, Rachel Serafin, Hannah Baker and Liberty Slinden will participate in the weight throw event.

Michelle Kinsella concludes the Cardinals' day in the high jump at 9 p.m. The junior ranks first in the conference in the event and seventh nationally after clearing a school-record 1.85m/6-0.75.

Currently, Louisville boasts 30 qualifying marks on the men's side and 24 on the women's side. The conference championships, which will be held at the SPIRE Institute, run from Feb. 16-17.
