LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville track and field’s Michelle Kinsella capped her indoor career with All-America honors Friday evening on day one of the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark.

Competing at her second career indoor national championships, Kinsella cleared her first three heights on the initial attempts. After jumping over the bar at 1.81m/5-11.25, she was unable to clear the next height (1.84m/6-0.50) and finished 10th in the competition for USTFCCCA second-team All-America honors. She earned second-team honors last season in the event.

Before reaching the national stage, the Whitby, Ontario, native won her previous five high jump competitions this season, including her first career BIG EAST indoor high jump title. The winning mark of 1.88m/6-2 was not only a school record, but it also broke a BIG EAST Conference meet record that went untouched since 2007.

Khadija Abdullah, Louisville’s other the national championships participant, is scheduled to compete in the shot put on Saturday, March 9, at 5 p.m. in the Randal Tyson Center. Abdullah secured All-America honors in the event two years ago.
