LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 7-2 to UAB in Conference USA action Friday at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.

Katie McLaughlin scored the only Cardinal point in singles with a three set victory at No. 3 over Michelle North, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4. Melisa San Martin and Kelly Kiehna paired for the only doubles win, beating Esther Obergfall and Keabetswe Mogonediwa 8-4.

"UAB is a top 50 team and we played really tough but they managed to hold on," said head coach Meg Peavy. "The heavy winds didn't help our cause much either."

Louisville (13-7) plays host to Conference USA opponent DePaul this Sunday at the Bass Rudd Tennis Center.
