The University of Louisville women's tennis team took the doubles point and then had help from the bottom of its lineup to edge Loyola Marymount 4-3 Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles.

The Cardinals won all three doubles matches for the point with Lauren Imre and Amelia Harris striking first with an 8-4 win over Tina Razloznik and Shauna Morgan at No. 3. Jo-Ann Van Aerde and Lindsey Jones were next to win, posting an 8-5 victory over Jasmin Heckel and Elisaveta Pironkova at No. 2. The U of L No. 1 pair of Bianca Gorbea and Natalia Baez held on to beat Jane Pringle and Bliss Nixon 8-5.

The Cardinals seemed to carry the momentum over to the singles play when No. 6 Amelia Harris made quick work of Estelle LaPorte with a 6-1, 6-1 win. Natalia Baez at No. 4 was next to add a point with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Jane Pringle. Freshman Sarah Miller clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Shauna Morgan at No. 5.
