The University of Louisville women's tennis player fell 4-2 to Eastern Kentucky Thursday evening in Richmond, Ky. The Cardinals, 7-2, won the doubles point but fell in four singles position.

The No. 1 doubles pair of Julia Fellerhoff and Rebecca Shine rolled 8-1 over Saioa Oscoz and Melissa Gerritsen. Mandy Brown and Stefanie Villajuan were able to cruise to an 8-2 win at No. 2 over Kristina Labeja and Milena Poffo at No. 2. With the doubles point clinched, the No. 3 pair suspended play and moved to singles.

The momentum swang sharply in singles to the Colonels. Only Mandy Brown was able to secure a win from the No. 3 position with a 6-1, 7-6 (4) victory over Saioa Oscoz.

The Cardinals return to action this Saturday against Wisconsin at noon at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
