The University of Louisville women's tennis team upended visiting Michigan State 6-1 Sunday afternoon in the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
The Cardinals swept the doubles matches to take the first point. The Cardinals then had to go to three sets in five of the six doubles matches, winning four of them to get the win.
"This was a very good win today. It is always good to beat a nationally ranked team," said U of L head coach Mark Beckham. "We are progressing and moving in the right direction for us to become a very good team."
"Lindsey Jones was the star of the weekend with wins in doubles and singles both days," said Beckham.
