Softball Plays Host to Temple for Senior Weekend

Cards will play Temple Saturday for Military Appeciation Day at 12 p.m. and will honor the senior prior to the 12 p.m. game Sunday

As a junior (2009): Selected to USA Softball Pan American Qualifier team... Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-American (second team)... Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Great Lakes Region selection... 2009 BIG EAST Player of the Year... All BIG EAST Conference first team selection... Started all 59 games at catcher... Led team with a .444 average and .870 slugging percentage - setting the school record in both categories... Led team with 53 RBI, tying the school record for single season RBI... Set single season runs record with 64... Blasted a two-run homer in the seventh to pull the Cards within a run in the 6-5 win over Notre Dame (5/3)... Three-time BIG EAST Player of the Week (April 7, April 13, April 27)... Went 3 for 3 with two home runs, including a grand slam and five RBI in the 5-2 win over Pitt (4/10)... Set a school record with three home runs against Albany.

As a sophomore (2008): Started all 54 games at catcher... All-BIG EAST third team selection... Team co-captain... Led the team offensively all season, finished with a .361 batting average, 43 runs, 20 doubles, 20 hit by pitches, a .471 on-base percentage and nine stolen bases... Led BIG EAST with 43 runs scored... Tied for school record for single season doubles (20)... Owns school career record for being hit by a pitch (36)... Seventh in national standing `hit by pitch' - 20 HBP-0.35/game... Named to Florida State Early Bird Tournament team... Tied school record with three doubles against Troy (2/8).

As a freshman: Started all 62 games at catcher... Tied for first on the team with 12 doubles... Third on the team with a .322 AVG, 38 runs... Her two-run double proved to be the winner in the Cards' 5-1 BIG EAST conference semifinal win over USF (5/11)... Reached base 14 times after being hit by a pitch - a new school single season record... Went 4 for 4 with two runs in the 10-8 win over Seton Hall (5/5)... Went 3 for 4 with two runs in the 6-2 win over Syracuse - also drove in the winning run in that game... Blasted her first career home run against Central Connecticut (3/10)... Went 3 for 3 with two runs in the 7-1 win over Kansas (2/23)... Named to the Athetic Director's Honor Roll and the Dean's List in the fall semester.
