Hello Cardinal Soccer Fans!
After a long week waiting for the highly anticipated NCAA Selection show on Monday, the Cards great season was rewarded with an at large NCAA bid! The team gathered along with selected guests and media at 3:00 Monday for the show, aired live on ESPNEWS. UofL didn't have to wait long as the first bracket came up with the Cardinals drawing Duke in the 1st round! The Cards will travel to Knoxville, TN where host UT will take on UAB in the second match of the day.
The Big East and ACC conferences will each be represented by 7 teams, the most of any conference in the tournament. The Big East clearly has established itself as one of the best, if not the best, conference in the nation!
We will depart Louisville by charter bus Thursday morning for the 4 hour trip to Tennessee. We will train Thursday afternoon and play Friday at 5:30 against the Blue Devils.
