LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Caitlin Beck, a four-year member of the Cardinals' women's soccer program, was named the University of Louisville's Outstanding Senior Female Student-Athlete during the annual Red & Black Banquet on Sunday, March 4.
The banquet, held in the Brown & Williamson Club at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, honors all student-athletes with cumulative 3.0 GPAs or higher.
A native of Fort Thomas, Ky., Beck is majoring in exercise science and will graduate Magna Cum Laude in May. She has been accepted to the University of Cincinnati's physical therapy program and will enroll this fall. Beck is also in the Chi Alpha Sigma student-athlete honor society.
On the field, Beck's playing career was cut short due to injuries suffered during the 2009 season. Prior to her injury, she played in 16 games with 12 starts and scored one career goal as a freshman. Despite being unable to compete on the field, Beck remained an important member of the Louisville women's soccer program throughout her four years.
