Louisville head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes has announced the Cardinals' 2014 recruiting class, which includes 12 standouts for the upcoming season debut in the ACC. Inger Katrine Bjerke, Shelby Cohen, Kaela Dickerman, Chatham DeProspo, Caitlyn Flores, Francesca Fischer, Victoria Gabor, Isbella Habuda, Victoria Martinis, Allison Price, Darby Schwarz, and Bridget Stewart have all signed letters-of-intent to play for the University of Louisville.

Inger Katrine Bjerke, 5-8, F, Baerum, Norway (Nadderud VGS)
2012-13 Team Captain; Finished in third place at 2013 U19 Norwegian Championship; 2012 Runner-Up at U19 Norwegian Championship; Named to 2009-11 Oslo and Akershus Regional Team; Named to 2009-11 Oslo District Team; Member of Team Oslo, Norway that won the 2011 U16 Arsenal Ladies Cup in London; Member of 2010 U15 Norwegian Championship Team; also a talented tennis player; Placed second at the U16 Norwegian Championship in doubles and fifth in singles; Placed third at the U14 Norwegian Championship in mixed doubles; Received Fossum Sport's Club Outstanding Athletic Award in 2009; Named to the Norwegian Junior National Team for 2013-14.
"Inger Katrine is a very sophisticated and cerebral center back or defensive midfield player," said Ferguson-Dayes. "She is fantastic in the air and will be able to help organize us defensively because of her true understanding of the game. She has the talent and international experience that our very young team will benefit greatly from."

"Kaela's speed and athleticism coupled with her ability to score goals will surely make her a dangerous attacking option," said Ferguson-Dayes. "She is feisty and tenacious and will absolutely add competition to our very talented group of forwards and goal scorers. Her Regional ODP experience will definitely help as she helps us compete within the ACC."

"Chatham has a wonderful mix of athleticism and soccer savvy and we feel that with her natural feel for the game as well as her versatility- she will be able to make an impact on our program immediately," Ferguson-Dayes said. "She has completely dedicated herself to school and soccer by choosing to attend IMG Academy which will make the transition to the ACC level much quicker."
Caitlyn Flores, 5-4, MF, Dumfries, Va. (Forest Park HS)

"Caitlyn is one of the most competitive players in the incoming class and her work rate and tenacity will make her an exceptional player and teammate," Ferguson-Dayes said. "She loves the game and is a very crafty midfielder who has a natural understanding of the game. Caitlyn will bring much needed depth to our central midfield position."
Francesca Fischer, 5-7 GK, Naples, Fla. (Naples HS)
2011-14 Varsity starter for Naples High School; Registered 43 shutouts and a .447 goals against average; 2011-14 First Team All-Conference; 2011-14 First Team All-County; 2013 Team MVP; Named to 2013 Collier County Sherrif's Team Academy Leadership Program; Honored with 2013 Collier County "Do The Right Thing Award" ; 2014 ODP '96 Region III Team International Roster; 2013 ODP '96 Region III Thanksgiving Interregional Roster; 2013 ODP '96 Region III Team; 2010-14 ODP '96 Florida State Team; Member of 2011 ODP Region III Championship Team; Member of 2012 ODP '96 Region III Team that made the national semifinals.
"Francesca is a player we first identified at our Summer Elite Camp," said Ferguson-Dayes. "She is technically very solid, has great footwork, a good understanding of angles, and very good hands. In game situations Francesca is a strong communicator and organizes very well. She is also very comfortable with her feet and a great distributor of the ball."

"Tori is another player we were very impressed with from our camps," said Ferguson-Dayes. "She is very quick, explosive, and has a great engine. In addition to her athleticism Tori possess a very calm presence and demeanor which is a very rare trait to find in a young goalkeeper. Additionally, Tori is extremely focused, determined, and has a good understanding of the game."

"Bella is an excellent player who is very dynamic with the ball at her feet," said Ferguson-Dayes. "She is a fantastic dribbler, a true 1v1 player who is also a great crosser of the ball. Bella has had international experience with Canada that will certainly help in her transition to the college game and with the graduation of our top two goal scorers- we know Bella will have an opportunity to make her mark offensively. "
Victoria Martinis, 5-6, MF, Highland Heights, Ohio (Lake Catholic)

"Victoria comes from a club environment that absolutely understands how to prepare players for the college game and that will certainly help her as she makes the transition from the club and high school level to the very prestigious ACC level," Ferguson-Dayes said. "She is extremely versatile and has been utilized in virtually every position on the field so it will be great for us to have someone with that level of understanding and versatility."
Alison Price, 5-5, F, Clemmons, N.C. (West Forsyth HS)

"Alison is a tremendous athlete who can play as both a forward and a wide midfielder," said Ferguson-Dayes. "She holds the ball very well with her back to goal and has an uncanny ability to score goals when she is in and around the box. Alison is a very gifted soccer player who will be called upon immediately to help absorb the loss of our graduating attacking players."
Darby Schwarz, 5-4, D, Cincinnati, Ohio (St. Ursula Academy)
2012 Second Team All-GGCL; 2013 First Team All-GGCL; member of 2011-12 District Finalist team and 2013 Regional Finalist team; 2010-13 Academic All-Honors; National Honors Society Member from 2012-13; Attended 2013 Nike ECNL id2 National Training Camp; Team ranked sixth nationally in ECNL in 2012; Attended 2012 Region II ECNL id2 Camp; Ohio State Champions 2010-11.
"Darby is a true wide back who is committed to joining the attack," Ferguson-Dayes said. "She is a tireless worker who gets up and down the flank all game. She comes from a great club environment that has absolutely prepared her for the game for the ACC and we look forward to adding more depth to our backline."
Bridget Stewart, 5-3, MF, O'Fallon, Mo. (Fort Zumwalt South)

"Bridget is a very crafty, industrious player who has the ability to play in the attacking midfield as well as a forward," said Ferguson-Dayes. "She is quick on the ball, has good instincts and a very solid understanding of the game. We are looking for Bridget to be prepared to play right away as she has the ability to add flair to our midfield and help us compete against some very dynamic midfield players in the ACC."
