LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville women's soccer team opened its preseason schedule with a 1-0 exhibition victory against visiting Ohio State on Friday night at Cardinal Park.

Junior Charlyn Corral (Mexico City, Mexico/Technologico de Monterrey) provided the scoring in Friday's match when she connected inside the lower right corner from 12 yards away in the 19th minute of action for the 1-0 Louisville advantage. Junior Angelika Uremovich (Oakville, Ont./St. Ignatius of Loyola) had the assist on the only goal of the match.

Senior goalkeeper Chloe Kiefer (Whitefish Bay, Wis./Divine Saviour HS) finished with four saves for the Cardinals, while Rachel Middleman had five saves for the Buckeyes. Friday's exhibition consisted of two 40-minute periods followed by an unscored 10-minute period.

The Cardinals will conclude their exhibition schedule on Sunday at 1 p.m., ET as they host Wright State at Cardinal Park. Admission is free for the game.
