1999: Did not compete.
1998: Played in all 18 games for the red & black, starting 16 of those matches. Was third on the team with 15 shots on goal.
1997: Started 12 of the team’s 20 games, seeing action in 17. Had three points(1g 1a) while taking only six shots. Scored the game winner against Tulane(10/17).
High School: Lettered in soccer, track and ice hockey at Hopkins HS. Ran hurdles in track for the Royals. For three years Julie was named Minnesota ODP State Select Pool Player. Was most improved at her high school in soccer as a junior and hockey her sophomore year. Member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Born 2/24/79 to John and Viviane Zastrow in Minneapolis. Majoring in biology. Before med school “JZ” would like to find an apartment with friends in Wrigleyville and go to every Cubs game for a season. Lists Rice Krispie treats asone of her favorite foods. Her younger sister will be playing soccer at Pittsburgh this fall. At her dream dinner party would include “the Great Gatsby”, Ella Fitzgerald and Andy Warhol.
