Scored first career goal, a game-winner, in her first ever game on Aug. 22 at Butler. Added her first ever assist in Cards' 3-2 loss to Oklahoma State (9/12). Finished with four total shots, all of which were on goal. Had an impressive freshman year academically with her accolades in the classroom including Dean's Scholar for a 4.0 GPA, Dean's List, Red and Black Scholar, Athletic Director's Honor Roll and BIG EAST Academic All-Star. High School: Selected to the 2007 NSCAA/adidas Girls High School All-America Team. Earned NKY Defensive Player of the Year as a junior and a senior and was a three-time First Team All-State Selection for the Bluebirds. A three-time NSCAA All-Region Team member and twice the KY East Player of the Year. Won back-to-back state titles with the Bluebirds, helping set a state record with 20 shutouts her sophomore and junior seasons. Scored eight goals as a senior. During her career, 64 of the 96 matches she played in her HS career were shutouts. A four-time Club State champion while playing for the Cincinnati Classics Hammer. Named the Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Soccer Sportswoman of the Year her sophomore season. An academic all-star and member of the National Honor Society. Also earned four letters in track and field as a middle distance runner. Personal: Born in Fort Thomas, Ky., on Feb. 10, 1990 to John and Lynn Beck. Majoring in exercise science. Has a younger and older brother, the latter of whom also attends U of L. Her biggest thrill in sports was scoring on a penalty kick in her high school state championship. Likes watching The Office, Lost, Glee and Jersey Shore on TV.
