Sunday's Rivanna Romp Will Close Fall for Louisville Rowing

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville rowing team will conclude the fall racing schedule on Sunday at the Rivanna Romp hosted by the University of Virginia.

The event is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m., ET at the Rivanna Reservoir in Earlysville, Va., with the varsity eights, followed by the novice eights and small boats at 10:30 a.m. Joining the Cardinals and host Cavaliers at the event will be Oklahoma, Old Dominion, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

This will mark the second straight season Louisville has traveled to Virginia for this event. Last season, the Cardinals earned a pair of top five finishes at the regatta.

Following the Rivanna Romp, the Cardinals will begin preparations for the spring schedule, which is set to open on March 15-16 with the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational at Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
