LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville rowing program will host an informational meeting for its novice (walk-on) squad on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 5 p.m., ET in the Red Barn on the UofL campus.
Interested students will not need prior rowing experience to be a part of the novice squad. The meeting is mandatory for anyone interested in potentially being a part of the team.
Novice rowing is an opportunity to make lots of new friends, get into the best shape of your life, travel all over the U.S., representing your university and experience NCAA Division I athletics with one of the top athletic departments in the country.
Successful candidates should posses a high moral character that will make them a great teammate, have the desire to learn something new at a high level and like to be physically fit. You do not need to know what rowing is to start on the novice, walk-on squad.
If you have class on Thursday evenings and can not make the meeting, there is an alternate time on Friday, Aug. 30 at 3 p.m., ET in the Campus Visit Room (2nd floor of the SAC). Contact Novice Coach Becky Smith at email@example.com with questions.
