LOUISVILLE, Ky. -
The University of Louisville rowing team's Kristin Falovo has been selected for the U23 Canadian National Team Program set for June in London, Ont.
Falovo, a sophomore from Thorold, Ont., will be among the collegiate rowers from around Canada to earn an invite to the camp, which will be used to select the crews that will compete at the 2009 FISA World Under 23 Championships on July 23-26 in Racice, Czech Republic.
In her first season rowing for Louisville in 2008, Falovo earned CRCA Second Team All-America honors to become the first freshman at U of L to earn such an honor. She is also the second Cardinal rower to have the chance to earn a national team bid for the FISA World U23 Championships as sophomore teammate Lauren Mensch will participate in the USRowing U23 National Team Camp in June.
Falovo and her Louisville rowing teammates will be in Camden, N.J., this weekend for the 2009 BIG EAST Rowing Championships.
