No. 19 Louisville Rowing Travels to Iowa for Saturday Racing

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The 19th-ranked Louisville rowing team will return to action this weekend with a trip to the Hawkeye State for a series of races against a trio of Big Ten teams on Lake MacBride in Solon, Iowa.

Hosted by the University of Iowa, the one-day event will feature morning and afternoon racing. The Cardinals are scheduled to have six crews competing in each session - varsity eight, second varsity eight, varsity four, second varsity four, third varsity four and novice eight.

During the morning session of racing, which kicks off at 9:30 a.m., ET, Louisville's third varsity four boat will compete against the Hawkeyes, while the Cardinals' other five boats will race against defending NCAA champion Ohio State. In the afternoon slate, which begins at 1:45 p.m., ET, the Cardinals' third varsity four crew will face the Buckeyes while the other five crews will race against Indiana.

The racing in Iowa on Saturday marks the first half of back-to-back competition weekends for Louisville. On April 19-20, the Cardinals will travel to Clemson, S.C., for the Clemson Invitational.
