2012-13: Rowed in the Cardinals' second varsity eight crew for most of the spring season ... Second varsity eight boat earned second-place finish at Big East Championship in West Windsor, N.J., as well as wins over Michigan State, Duke, UCF, Tennessee, Indiana and Rhode Island at the Clemson Invitational ... Also had wins over West Virginia and Miami at Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational.

2011-12: Spent the year in the second varsity eight boat ... Helped earn first-place finishes over Georgetown, Duke, Dayton, Alabama and Kansas...Was a part of second-place finishes to Purdue while earning wins over Purdue Indiana ... Earned a third-place at the BIG EAST Championship.

Prior to UofL: Went to Oakwood High School ... Sports played in high school were cheerleading for four years and rowing for four years ... Was a 2010-2011 team captain, 2008-2011 scholar athlete, 2008 coaches award, 2010 hammer award, 2011 most valuable rower, 2011 Cincinnati indoor rowing champs, and a two time national qualifier in V4+ in 2010-2011 ... Also won the 2010-2011 V4+.

Personal: Born on Feb. 26, 1993, in Dayton, Ohio ... Daughter of Susan and Andy Montesano ... Majoring in exercise science ... Post-college ambition is to become a personal trainer and focus on childhood obesity ... Hobbies and outside interests include cycling, shopping, eating and sleeping ... Says she chose the University of Louisville because red is as close to pink she could get... Says the best thing about the city of Louisville is Homemade Pie and Ice Cream Kitchen... Says the best thing about U of L rowing is Derek Copeland... Her favorite class at U of L is Greek...After graduation, she plans to go to graduate school ... Says her best race was the finals of the 2010 Midwest Junior Rowing Championship V4+ ...
