Rowing Opens Day One of Head of the Hooch with Two Top Five Finishes

Cardinals finish second in second in Championship 4+, fifth in Championship 8+

2010-11: Rowed in the Cards' varsity four boat which finished second at the BIG EAST Championship and was fifth at the Oak Ridge Invitational ... rowed in varsity four wins over Indiana and Syracuse and in losses to Texas, Ohio State, Boston University and Northeastern ... Rowed in the second varsity eight boat in a win over Kansas State.

2009-10: Spent the entire season in the Cardinals' second varsity eight boat... Rowed in wins over Kansas and Oklahoma in the Longhorn Invitational, as well as a third-place finish in the B division at the Lake Natoma Invitational, a third-place finish at the BIG EAST Championship and a second-place finish in the C Final of the NCAA South/Central Regionals ... Also rowed in wins over Alabama and Dartmouth.

2008-09: Spent the spring in the Cardinals' second varsity eight boat ... Rowed strong in Louisville's 2V8+ win at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships, as well as second-place finishes at the BIG EAST Championship and Dale England Cup ... Also rowed for the 2V8+ crew in wins over Buffalo and Duke, a sixth-place finish in the petite final at the NCAA Regionals as well as races against Iowa, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Prior to UofL: Earned four years of rowing experience at the Cincinnati Junior Rowing Club under the direction of coach Andrew Piepmeyer.

Personal: Born on March 8, 1990, in Cincinnati, Ohio ... Daughter of John and Teresa Haack ... Has one sister, Kristin and one brother, Johnathon ... Majoring in nursing at U of L ... Post-college ambition is to become a nurse anesthetist ... Chose the University of Louisville because the city has no major professional sports teams, so the sports at U of L are followed with more enthusiasm than most other cities ... Says the best thing about the city of Louisville are the parks that are being built along the riverfront ... Believes the best thing about Louisville rowing is that the program is on the move and she wanted to be part of all of it ... Says her best race was a scrimmage at the Mercer Sprints ... If she could tell her incoming teammates one thing, it would be don't be afraid to ask for help from the older girls because they are there to help.
