Rowing Prepares for Sunday's Indiana Invitational

Rowing Opens Day One of Head of the Hooch with Two Top Five Finishes

Cardinals finish second in second in Championship 4+, fifth in Championship 8+

2011-12: Spent the season as the coxswain for the varsity four boat ... Finished first against Georgetown ... Finished fourth at the BIG EAST Championship.

2010-11: Academic honors include Dean's List, AD Honor Roll and Red & Black Scholar ... Earned second-place finishes versus Oklahoma and Kansas State, as well as finishing second versus Ohio State and Indiana in the novice eight boat ... Rowed to a Cards' win in the novice four boat versus #16 Tennessee, as well as a fourth-place finish in the second varsity four boat at the Charles River Challenge.

Prior to UofL: Went to high school at King Edward Queen Mary from 2004-06 and finished her final two years at John Hardin High School in 2006-08 ... Played field hockey for two years in high school, as well as earning two letters in rugby netball and another two years in track and field ... Also spent one year playing golf, as well as earning one letter in tennis.

Personal: Born on Aug. 10, 1990, in Phoenix, Ariz. ... Daughter of John and Barbara Jenkins ... Has two siblings, John and Ashley ... Majoring in biological anthropology ... Post-college ambition is Peace Corps Service and attending graduate school for forensic anthropology ... Hobbies and outside interests include painting and traveling ... Chose the University of Louisville because Louisville is an interesting midsize city with a supportive community for Cardinal Athletics ... Says the best thing about U of L rowing is the atmosphere created by the coaching staff providing endless opportunity for personal growth and team building ... Favorite class is Chinese language courses ... After graduation, she plans to attend graduate school out of state ... Says her best race was last season in Indianapolis when the V4 came from behind to beat Iowa in the last few rows of the race ... If she could tell her incoming teammates ones thing, it would be, "One team, one goal!"
