19th Ranked Women's Golf Team Travels to Mercedes Benz Collegiate on Friday

Knoxville, Tenn. - The 19th ranked Louisville women's golf team will travel to Knoxville to participate in the Mercedes Benz Women's Collegiate Championship hosted by Tennessee. The event will run Friday through Sunday at the Fox Den Country Club.

The highly-competitive field features 18 teams, including seven teams ranked in the Golfweek/Sagarin top-25 ready to vie for the tournament title at the par-72, 6,058-yard course. The Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championships is a 54-hole tournament with three rounds of 18. Each day will begin at 9 a.m., off the first and 10th holes.

The Cardinals are led by senior Cindy LaCrosse. LaCrosse is currently ranked No. 31 in the Golfweek/Sagarin ratings. She leads the team with a 71.6 stroke average. In both tournaments this season she has finished in the Top 10. Sophomore Sara-Maude Juneau is second on the team with a stroke average of 74.2.

Junior Daphne Parker ranks third on the team with a 75.3 stroke average. Freshman Maria Castellanos is fourth on the team with a 76.0 stroke average. Sophomore Laura Anderson ranks fifth with a stroke average of 76.5.
