PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Louisville sophomore Emily Haas was named BIG EAST Women's Golf Player of the Month for the month of September.

Haas took the BIG EAST Women's Golf Player of the Month award after impressive showings at Colonel Wollenberg's Ram Classic and the Cardinal Cup. The sophomore played her way to a tie for 10th at Colonel Wollenberg's Ram Classic after shooting rounds of 74, 70 and 76 at the Ptarmigan Country Club in Fort Collins, Colo. Haas finished first of 81 competitors at the Cardinal Cup, winning by five strokes. Her score of 209 (7-under par) after three rounds set a tournament record at the Cardinal Cup.
