Candice Wiley and Katie Petrino Wrap Up Play in the U. S. Women's Amateur on Tuesday

Louisville, Ky. - Katie Petrino and Candice Wiley wrapped up play on Tuesday afternoon in the 2012 U.S. Women's Amateur at the 6,512-yard, par-72 course at The Country Club in Cleveland, Ohio. The 2012 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship consists of 36 holes of stroke play followed by six rounds of match play, with the championship scheduled to conclude with a 36-hole final on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Following stroke play, the field was cut to the low 64 scorers. The cut came at 5-over-par 149, with 15 players competing for the last 14 match-play berths. Petrino shot an 80 in the first round and a 79 on Tuesday afternoon for a score of 159. She was 10 strokes from making the cut, finishing tied at 126th. Wiley shot a 78 in the first round and an 82 this afternoon. She was just 11 strokes away from the cut finishing tied at 129th with a score of 160.
