Two Cardinal Teams Atop the Standings at the Pure Silk Women's Collegiate

Columbus, Ohio - Two Louisville teams are currently in the Top 10 after the first round of the 4th Annual Pure Silk Women's Collegiate Team Championship Presented by the Women's Golf Coaches Association. The Cardinals have two teams competing, Emily Haas and Laura Restrepo make up a team while Tara Lyons and Katie Petrino are another team.

The tournament is a three day event held at the fantastic Wedgewood Golf & Country Club just outside of Columbus, Ohio. The 42 two-person teams will compete with other teams from across the nation in a unique format. Each team will compete in Alternate Shot (Day One), Best Ball (Day Two) and Combined Score (Day Three).

Haas and Restrepo are currently tied for sixth after shooting a 77 in the alternate shot round today. Tara Lyons and Katie Petrino are currently tied for eighth with a score of 78.

Michigan State's team of Nagel and Witherby currently lead the field after the first round with a score of 71. Thomas and Newell from Tennessee are in second place with a score of 74 while Vandy's Martindale and Ransom are third with a score of 75.
