Juneau Named BIG EAST Golfer of the Year while Four Cardinals Earn All-BIG EAST Honors

Louisville, Ky. - Junior Sara-Maude Juneau a unanimous selection as the 2010 BIG EAST Golfer of the Year. The Cardinals also had four players named to the All-BIG EAST team for the second consecutive season.

Juneau won the BIG EAST Championship this year and helped lead the Cardinals to their fourth BIG EAST title in five years. Juneau is currently ranked 23rd in the nation by Golfstat and leads the team and BIG EAST with a 72.9 stroke average. She is the first Louisville player to win three tournaments in one season. Juneau was also a unanimous All-BIG EAST selection, earning the honor for the third straight season.

Senior Daphne Parker was also one of five unanimous selections to the All-BIG EAST team. Parker earned the honor for the second straight season.

Joining Juneau and Parker on the All-BIG EAST team is junior Laura Anderson and Anna-Karin Ljungstrom. Anderson earns her third All-BIG EAST honor while Ljungstrom earns the honor for the first time.

The Cardinals will compete in the NCAA Central Regional on May 6-8 in Bloomington, Ind.
