Cardinals in Fifth Place After First Round of the Bryan National

Browns Summitt, N.C. - The University of Louisville women's golf team shot a 306 in the first round of the Bryan National Collegiate. The Cardinals are currently in fifth place while LSU leads the field with a score of 290. Virginia and Wake Forest are tied at second with a score of 304 and East Carolina is fourth with a score of 305.

Sophomore Laura Anderson is currently tied at seventh with after carding a 75 in the first round. LSU's Tessa Teachman leads the field with a score of 68.

Three Louisville players are tied at 25th with a score of 77. Junior Daphne Parker, sophomore Sara-Maude Juneau and senior Cindy LaCrosse all shot a 77 in the first round of play on Friday afternoon.

Freshman Maria Castellanos shot an 83 in the first round of play. Castellanos is currently tied at 75th. The Cardinals will continue play tomorrow with a 9:00 a.m. tee time.
