Louisville, Ky. - Louisville head coach Courtney Trimble is one of six selections for this year's Gwinnett County Sports Hall of Fame class, announced this week. They will be inducted Saturday, May 4 at Coolray Field in an event that coincides with the Gwinnett Braves' home game.
Trimble, formerly Courtney Swaim, played for the boys and girls high school teams during her time at Duluth. She won two individual state titles and one team title. She earned All-SEC and All-American honors during her college career at Auburn. She went on the play briefly on the Futures Tour.
Trimble joins longtime Parkview soccer star Josh Wolff, Brookwood football coach and athletic director Dave Hunter, former South Gwinnett basketball star and Atlanta Hawk Lou Williams, Buford football player Darius Walker and Greater Atlanta Christian basketball star Sherrill Baker in the 2013 class.
"We are excited to again host the annual Hall of Fame Induction," said GCPS Foundation president David Seago. "This is our fourth class and what a pleasure it is to honor these outstanding individuals and their contributions to Gwinnett County."
