Women's Golf Finishes 11th at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invite

Chapel Hill, N.C. - The Louisville women's golf team finished 11th at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational on Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals shot a 301 in the final round for a score of 902. Host North Carolina won the tournament with a score of 872. Baylor and Mississippi finished second with a score of 885 while Duke finished fourth with a score of 887.

Junior Tara Lyons finished tied for 15th with a score of 221. Lyons shot a 79 in the final round. Florida's Isabelle Lendl won medalist honors with a score of 210.

Sophomore Katie Petrino finished tied at 35th with a score of 226. Petrino led the Cardinals in the final day, shooting a 71. Freshman Laura Restrepo finished the day shooting a 76. She finished the tournament tied at 38th with a score of 227.

Sophomore Emily Hass finished tied at 52nd with a score of 230. Haas finished the day shooting a 77. Senior Candice Wiley finished the day carding 77. Wiley finished the tournament tied at 77th with a score of 236.

The Cardinals will wrap up the fall season at the Alamo Invitational in San Antoino on Oct. 28-30.
