The University of Louisville women's golf team finished 10th at the Tar Heel Invitational on Sunday afternoon at the UNC Finley Golf Course. The Cardinals shot a 298 in the final round to finish with a score of 887. Fifth-ranked Michigan State won the tournament with a score of 860. Auburn finished second with a score of 872 and Alabama finished third with a score of 875.
Junior Sara-Maude Juneau won her second straight tournament after shooting a 68 in the third round. Juneau won the tournament with a score of 206, a six stroke lead over the field. It is the first time in school history that a Louisville player has won back-to-back tournaments. Juneau won the Napa River Grill Cardinal Cup on Sept. 22.
Junior Laura Anderson shot a 74 in the third round. Anderson finished tied at 31st with a score of 222. Senior Daphne Parker shot a 78 in the final round. Parker finished tied at 64th with a score of 228.
Freshman Anna-Karin Ljunstrom shot an 81 in the final round. Ljunstrom finished tied at 73rd with a score of 232. Freshman Candice Wiley shot a 78 in the final round. Wiley finished 88th with a score of 238.
The Cardinals will on Friday, Oct. 17 as they play in the Mercedes Benz Collegiate in Knoxville, Tenn.
