Women's Golf Finishes t-5th in the Colonel Wollenberg's Ptarmigan Ram Classic

Fort Collins, Colo. - The Louisville women's golf team finished tied for fifth in the Colonel Wollenberg's Ptarmigan Ram Classic on Tuesday afternoon. The Cardinals shot a 307 in the final round to finish with a score of 896. Texas Tech remained at the top of the standings to win with a score of 860. Baylor moved up two spots to finish second with a score of 887. UNLV finished third with a score of 891.

Sophomore Emily Haas finished tied at 10th with a score of 220. Haas shot a 76 in the final round. New Mexico's Manon DeRoey took medalist honors with a score of 207.

Sophomore Katie Petrino finished tied at 24th with a score of 226. Petrino carded an 80 in the final round. Junior Tara Lyons also finished tied for 24th with a score of 226. Lyons finished the final round with a score of 74.

Sophomore Sara Karlsson finished tied at 30t with a score of 227. She finished the day shooting a 77. Senior Candice Wiley finished tied at 56th with a score of 233.

The Cardinals will be back in action on Monday, Sept. 17 as they host the Cardinal Cup at the Cardinal Club in Simpsonville, Ky.
