Women's Golf Finishes Third at Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic

Ft. Collins, Colo. - The University of Louisville women's golf team finished third in the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic on Tuesday afternoon. The Cardinals shot a 288 in the final round to finish the tournament with an 858. Louisville's 858 set a new record for lowest tournament score. California won the tournament with a score of 846 and Colorado finished with a score of 852.

Senior Cindy LaCrosse finished tied for third after carding a 71 in the final round. LaCrosse finished the tournament with a score of 210. California's Shannon Yocum took medalist honors with a score of 208.

Sophomore Sara-Maude Juneau finished tied for 11th with a score of 214. Juneau shot a 73 in the final round. Freshman Maria Castellanos finished tied at 25th with a score of 220. Castellanos shot a 74 in the final round.

Junior Daphne Parker finished tied for 27th with a score of 221. Parker carded a 77 in the final round of play. Sophomore Laura Anderson finished tied for 53rd with a score of 227. Anderson shot a 70 in the final round to move up 25 spots.

The Cardinals will be back in action on Oct. 3 in the Tar Heel Invitational.
