After a long day of competition, the Cardinals are currently tied for 11th place after 36-holes in the Mountain View Collegiate on Friday afternoon. The Cardinals shot a 294 in the first round and a 307 in the second round for a score of 601. Texas Tech leads the field with a score of 570. Indiana is second with a score of 576 and Iowa State is third with a score of 581.
Junior Candice Wiley led the Cardinals in both rounds. Wiley shot a 71 in the first round and a 73 in the second round for a score of 144. She is currently tied for 12th place. Jennifer Brumbaugh from San Jose State leads the field after carding a 69 and a 67 for a score of 136.
Freshmen Emily Haas and Sara Karlsson are currently tied at 43rd with a score of 151. Haas shot a 74 in the first round and a 77 in the second round. Karlsson also shot a 74 in the first round and a 77 in the second round.
Freshman Katie Petrino shot a 75 in the first round and an 80 in the second round. Petrino is currently tied at 63rd with a score of 155. Sophomore Tara Lyons shot a 76 in the first round and an 82 in the second round. She is currently tied at 75th with a score of 158.
Freshman Maike Klein competed as an individual. Klein shot a 77 in the first round and an 85 in the second round. She is currently tied at 83rd with a score of 162.
The Cardinals will wrap up play with 18 holes on Saturday afternoon.
