The Louisville women's golf team finished sixth in the Sir Pizza Terrapin Challenge with a score of 912. The Cardinals shot a 307 in the final round to move up one spot on the final day. NC State won the tournament with a score of 874. Florida International finished second with a score of 886 and Miami finished third with a score of 895.
Senior Candice Wiley carded a 76 in the final round to finish tied at 12th. Wiley competed as an individual and finished with a score of 225. NC State's individual Lindsay McGetrick took medalist honors. McGetrick won the tournament with a score of 212, just one stroke from teammate Brittany Marchand with a score of 213.
Sophomore Emily Haas and junior Tara Lyons both finished tied at 23rd with a score of 228. Haas shot a 76 in the final round while Lyons shot an 80. Freshman Laura Restrepo shot a 76 in the final round. She finished tied at 30th with a score of 229.
Sophomore Katie Petrino shot a 79 in the final round. Petrino finished tied at 45th with a score of 233. Freshman Megan Theiss finished ted at 60th with a score of 237.
Theiss shot a 76 in the final round of play.
The Cardinals will be back in action on March 12 in the Dr. Donnis Thomas Invitational.
