The University of Louisville women's golf team finished fifth at the UNLV Lady Rebel Spring Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. The Cardinals shot a 315 in the final round to finish fifth with a score of 918. Arizona shot a 289 in the final round to win the tournament with a score of 872. Host UNLV finished second with a score of 891 while San Diego State finished third with a score of 905.
Senior Anna-Karin Ljungstrom shot a 78 in the final round. She finished 23rd with a score of 229. Arizona's Isabelle Boineau took medalist honors with a score of 218.
Senior Maria Castellanos shot an 81 in the final round. She finished tied at 24th with a score of 230. Freshman Emily Haas shot an 82 in the final round. Haas finished 26th with a score of 232.
Junior Candice Wiley finished the tournament tied at 35th with a score of 237. Wiley finished the day shooting a 77. Redshirt freshman Katie Petrino shot a 79 in the final round. She finished tied for 35th as well with a score of 237.
Sophomore Tara Lyons and redshirt freshman Sara Karlsson competed as individuals. Karlsson finished tied at 31st with a score of 235. Karlsson shot a 77 in the final round. Lyons shot an 81 in the final round. She finished 34th with a score of 236.
The Cardinals will be back in action on Monday, Feb. 27 in the Sir Pizza Cards Challenge.
