Women's Golf Finishes 11th at the UCF Challenge

Orlando, Fla. - The University of Louisville women's golf team shot a 300 in the final round of the UCF Challenge on Tuesday afternoon to finish the tournament in 11th place. The Cardinals finished with a three round score of 901. North Carolina won the tournament with a score of 854. Tulane finished second with a score of 871 while host UCF finished third with a score of 876.

Freshman Laura Restrepo shot a 72 on the final day to move up 15 spots. Restrepo finished with a core of 223 and finished the tournament tied at 33rd. Virginia's Briana Mao shot a 73 in the final round to take medalist honors with a score of 212.

Sophomore Katie Petrino also finished tied at 33rd. Petrino shot a 7 in the final round to finish with a score of 223. Sophomore Emily Haas shot a 77 in the final round to finish tied at 54th. Haas finished the tournament with a score of 228.

Junior Tara Lyons shot a 75 on the final day. Lyons finished tied at 70th with a score of 232. Freshman Meghan Theiss shot an 80 in the final round to finish tied at 77th. Theiss finished with a three round score of 234.

The Cardinals will be in action again on Feb. 25 in the Sir Pizza Challenge in Miami Lakes, Fla.
