Women's Golf Moves Up Spot to 12th at UCF Challenge

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Louisville women's golf team carded a 302 in the second round of the UCF Challenge on Monday afternoon to move up one spot to 12th. The Cardinals have a two-day total of 601. No. 9 North Carolina used a 10-under par on Monday to take a commanding lead over the 18-team field at 565. Host UCF and Tulane sit in second, 16 strokes behind North Carolina.

Katie Petrino led the Cardinals again on day two. The redshirt sophomore navigated the par-72, 6,374-yard RedTail Golf Club with a 2-over par 74 on Monday. Petrino climbed from a tie for 28th to a tie for 22nd after a two-round total of 147.

Laura Restrepo also carded a 74 in the second round. Restrepo surged up the leaderboard from a tie for 71st to a tie for 48th. Restrepo has a 36-hole score of 151.

Emily Haas fired a 4-over par 76 in the second round and has a two-day score of 151. She is also tied for 48th.

Meghan Theiss shot a 78 in the second round. Theiss had a two-day score of 154 and is tied for 68th.

Tara Lyons sits in a tie for 81st with 18 holes remaining in the tournament. Lyons carded an 82 on Monday for a 36-hole total of 157.

The Cardinals return to the course for the third and final round on Tuesday, Feb. 12 with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring is available through golfstat.com.
