The regionally-based centers allow athletes to continue their advanced training at venues. Athletes are trained by some of the nation's top coaches. Through the High Performance Centers, athletes may be selected to their Center's National Championship team and a chance to compete for a spot on the National Squad.
Conrad was selected to the USA Field Hockey High Performance Midwest team and earned the tryout through the goalkeeping skill/decision making session at the National Championship June 27 at Virginia Beach, Va.
"I am extremely excited that Erin has earned this opportunity to compete amongst our country's most promising young talent," said U of L head coach Pam Bustin. "Erin has high aspirations for herself within the field hockey world and she understands that challenging herself will in turn benefit our Cardinal program. This Junior National Camp experience comes at the perfect time as it will aid in her preparation for our upcoming season."
