The No. 7/6 Louisville women's basketball team will host the annual "Battle of the Bluegrass" against No. 9/8 Kentucky on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 6:00 p.m. in the KFC Yum! Center. The game will showcase two of the nation's top women's basketball teams, marking the first time both teams have been ranked in the top 10 nationally. The game will be televised live on ESPNU at 6 p.m. ET and will be available on WatchESPN.

The Cardinals are 8-0 on the year after a 76-42 win over Eastern Kentucky on Wednesday night.
Jude Schimmel scored a career-high 12 points while sister Shoni also finished with 12. Overall,
Shoni Schimmel leads the Cardinals in scoring (13.3 ppg), assists (4.3), steals (2.1) and 3-point field goals made (19).
Sara Hammond follows her in the scoring column with 10.9 points per game and pulls down a team best 8.1 rebounds per game.
The Wildcats are 5-1 overall and take a four-game winning streak into the game after defeating Miami University 92-53 on Wednesday. Louisville native A'dia Mathies is leading the Wildcats' this season, averaging a team-high 14.5 points per game and tops the team in assists (20), steals (16) and 3-pointers made (14). Junior forward Samarie Walker is the team's leading rebounder with 8.0 boards per game.
Kentucky leads the overall series 30-17, but the Cardinals hold a 13-9 edge in the series when playing in Louisville. UK's last win in Louisville was Jan. 20, 1999 (69-56) in Freedom Hall. The home team has won in each of the last four. UK won last year's game 74-54 in Lexington.
