Louisville, Ky. - A crowd of over 700 fans packed the annual University of Louisville women's basketball tipoff luncheon Tuesday at the KFC Yum! Center.

Head coach Jeff Walz spoke with Cardinal fans after lunch was served. A pair of videos kicked off the event and the team introduced themselves to the fans. Walz ended the luncheon by telling the fans that the team felt they should have beat Maryland last year and told everyone that his team was hungry after that last season's finish. He went on to say the team has worked the hardest of any team he has ever coached in the spring and the summer.

Walz also urged fans to buy tickets now for the first and second rounds of the 2012 NCAA Tournament held at the KFC Yum! Center.

Louisville will host Eckerd College on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 7:00 p.m. in the KFC Yum! Center for the only exhibition game. Admission to the game is free.
