Becky Burke Finishes Second in the State Farm 3-Point Contest

NEW ORLEANS - Louisville senior guard Becky Burke finished second in the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships on Thursday, March 29, in New Orleans, Burke was the second Louisville women's basketball player to participate in the event. Jill Morton advanced to the semifinals in 2000. The 24th annual event showcased the sharp-shooting talents of eight of the nation's top senior women's basketball shooters.. Burke advanced to the semifinals after hitting 15 treys in the preliminary round. She led all shooters by connecting on 18 in the semifinals. She fell to USC's Ashley Corral in the finals. Burke, a four year letterwinner, ends her Cardinal career as a member of the 1,000 point club.
