Louisville, Ky. - The No. 11/12 Louisville women's basketball team will host USF on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the KFC Yum! Center. The game will also air on WHAS-TV (Channels 11.2, Insight 432, Comcast 207).

The Cardinals enter the game with an overall record of 21-5 and an 9-3 record in league play. The Cardinals will be looking for its second straight win and its eighth win in the last nine games. Bria Smith finished the game with a career-high 21 points in the Cards 81-55 win over DePaul on Sunday. Overall, Shoni Schimmel leads the team in scoring with 13.8 points while dishing out 3.7 assists. Sara Hammond ranks second on the team in scoring with 10.8 points per game while leading the team in rebounding with 6.4 per game.

Schimmel Lifts No. 12 Louisville Past USF, 78-75
Shoni Schimmel scored a career-high 38 points and No. 12 Louisville rallied from a nine-point second-half deficit to beat South Florida 78-75 in a Big East game Wednesday night. The junior guard hit a two-point jumper and three 3-pointers as the Cardinals (18-4, 6-2) tied the game after trailing 60-51. Another 3 by Schimmel at the 3:05 mark put Louisville ahead to stay, 69-66. The Bulls (14-6, 3-4) twice got to within a point in the final 21 seconds, but two free throws each by Schimmel and Antonita Slaughter protected the lead.

The Bulls are coming off a 67-56 victory over Seton Hall on Saturday to improve to 17-7 on the season and 6-5 in BIG EAST play. USF has won three of its last four games heading into Wednesday's matchup. Senior Andrea Smith leads three players averaging double figures with 16.3 points per game. Sister Andrell Smith ranks second on the team in scoring with 14.5 points per game. Junior Inga Orekhova rounds out the top scorers with 12.7 points per game. Freshman Alisia Jenkins leads the team on the boards with 6.7 rebounds per game.
