The No. 11 Louisville women's basketball team will face Notre Dame on Monday, Feb. 11 at 9:00 p.m. in the Joyce Center. The Big Monday game will be televised live on ESPN2 with Beth Mowins and Stephanie White calling the action.
The Cardinals enter the game with an overall record of 20-4 and an 8-2 record in league play. Louisville has won six straight games and eight of its last nine games. The Cards defeated Pittsburgh 45-78 on Saturday afternoon. Shoni Schimmel led five Cardinals in double figures with 22 points. Overall, Schimmel leads the team in scoring with 14.1 points while dishing out 3.5 assists. Sara Hammond ranks second on the team in scoring with 10.7 points per game while leading the team in rebounding with 6.3 per game.

Cardinals Come Up Short Against Notre Dame
Louisville was unable to weather a second half run by Notre Dame, and the Cardinals fell in BIG EAST competition, 68-52. Antonita Slaughter scored 12 points in the loss.

Notre Dame enters the game with an overall record of 22-1 and a league record of 10-0. The Fighting Irish are currently on a 17-game winning streak heading into Monday's game. Four players are averaging double figures for the Fighting Irish. Senior Skylar Diggins leads the team with 15.7 points per game. Diggins also leads the team in assists and steals with 130 assists and 64 steals. Kayla McBride ranks second on the team in scoring with 14.1 points per game. Natalie Achonwa leads the team in rebounding with 9.1 per game. She also averages 13.4 points per game. Freshman Jewell Loyd rounds out the top scorers with 12.0 points per game.
