Women's Basketball Hosts St. John's on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

Louisville, Ky. - The No. 12/13 Louisville women's basketball team will host St. John's on Sunday, Jan. 27 at 1:30 p.m. at the KFC Yum! Center. The game will air live on ESPNU. The Cardinals enter the game with an overall record of 16-4 and a 4-2 record in league play. Overall, Schimmel leads the team in scoring with 13.0 points while dishing out 3.2 assists. Sara Hammond ranks second on the team in scoring with 10.7 points per game while leading the team in rebounding with 6.4 per game. Monique Reid rounds out the top scorers with 10.4 points per game.

Shoni Schimmel and Antonita Slaughter scored 16 points as No. 17/20 Louisville (22-9) fell to No. 18/21 St. John's (22-8) in overtime on Sunday in the BIG EAST Tournament Quarterfinals. Shenneika Smith led St. John's with 24 points. Nadirah McKenith added 15 points for the Red Storm.
