The No. 12/13 Louisville women's basketball team will host St. John's on Sunday, Jan. 27 at 1:30 p.m. at the KFC Yum! Center. The game will air live on ESPNU.
The Cardinals enter the game with an overall record of 16-4 and a 4-2 record in league play. Overall, Schimmel leads the team in scoring with 13.0 points while dishing out 3.2 assists. Sara Hammond ranks second on the team in scoring with 10.7 points per game while leading the team in rebounding with 6.4 per game. Monique Reid rounds out the top scorers with 10.4 points per game.

Shoni Schimmel and Antonita Slaughter scored 16 points as No. 17/20 Louisville (22-9) fell to No. 18/21 St. John's (22-8) in overtime on Sunday in the BIG EAST Tournament Quarterfinals. Shenneika Smith led St. John's with 24 points. Nadirah McKenith added 15 points for the Red Storm.

St. John's comes into Sunday's game with an overall record of 9-8 and 3-2 in conference play. The Red Storm has dropped two consecutive league games, including a heartbreaker against Syracuse in its last game. Senior guard Shenneika Smith continues to lead the Red Storm in scoring and rebounding with 16.1 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game. Senior guard Nadirah McKenith is second in scoring with 12.7 ppg and tied for second in rebounding with 5.9 boards per game. She also leads the team with 84 assists.
